Can You ID this Hickory? (we didn't)

We were pretty sure this was a Hickory, but not sure what kind.

The nuts on the tree were oval and about 2 inches long.

The outer husk was thick, compared to other hickories.

There were seven leaflets on each branch.

This is the bud.
