Some of the trees we identified yesterday were the Blackjack Oak (above),
Carolina Buckthorn,
Flowering Dogwood,
Sassafras,
and Winged Sumac. There were many hickories (several varieties--we weren't able to identify which ones), cedars, lots of different kinds of Oaks, some Tulip Poplar, Black Walnut--and that was just part of the yard. Now to learn the rest!
