Over the weekend, I thought I'd see what's happening in the yard. The goldenrod (and ragweed) are blooming--though they are nearly done. A bumble bee was bumbling around.

This plant grows near our front walk--I think it may be some sort of mint because it has a square stem. The leaves have a purplish cast and the stems are purple. A light purple flower (or flowers) bloom on a stalk. It gets quite large--two or three feet high.

We have beautiful blue morning glories outside our bedroom window. And these little daisies are growing here and there.

The poke berries are starting to ripen and the sumac berries are too.

Our pink crepe myrtle is nearly done blooming. The pink azalea by the back steps has decided to put forth one more display before cold weather.
