Last Thursday, L interviewed at the nursing home just a few miles from where she lives. She had orientation yesterday and starts today. She'll be working second shift (2-10 p.m.).
She'll continue her current job (private duty--third shift) until they find a replacement.

L has a job
When L first made arrangements to move, she thought she had a job lined up. She gave her two weeks notice at work and made her plans to move. A week and a half later, she found out that the job wasn't to be. She decided to go ahead and try to get a job once she got moved.
L called this afternoon to say she has a job. She will be doing private caregiving for an elderly gentleman. It is only minimum wage, but it gives her an income while she looks for a more permanent job with benefits.
