Chili and Cornbread Cookoff

Saturday night, our church social committee sponsored a chili and cornbread cookoff--followed by table games, basketball, and volleyball.
The pots of chili were numbered and the pans of cornbread lettered. Small sample cups of each were set out. Everyone was to go through line, sample the chili and cornbread and vote for the one they liked best. After everyone got a sample, folks could go back for a normal size serving of what they liked.

Chili #1 was voted #1. Cornbread "B" was voted best.

This group is playing a table game brought by our pastor. It involves two Rook decks, a gameboard made from two Rook decks, and poker chips. The object is to get "five in a row" by placing a chip of your team's color on a corresponding place on the gameboard to match a card in your hand. We played the next round and it was fun.
